Divine Champion Paladin Kit in meiner EET in BG1 nicht aktiv? [gesplittet von "Erstellung einer FAQ"]

Einen wunderschönen guten Abend!

Ich brauche gerade etwas Auszeit von meiner Dissertation und bin irgendwie im kreativen Frustvakuum über das Forum hier und die Baldurs Gate EE Versionen gestolpert. Teenagerassoziationen sind erwacht, ich war begeisterter Spieler der Originale.

Jetzt habe ich mich zwei hier durchgewälzt und mir meine BG EET zusammengestellt.

Dank des hervorragenden Threads hier war das auch relativ unkompliziert. Ich hatte bei der BG II EE Installation einmal neu ansetzen müssen, aber aufgrund der kopierfähigen Backups, die ich mir eingerichtet habe, war auch das relativ zeitunaufwändig zu umgehen.

Jetzt konnte ich heute Abend antesten und das ganze hat wunderbar funktioniert soweit. Hab das Intro durchgespielt, würde als PC gerne einen Divine Champion Paladin spielen. Bei der Charaktererstellung für Tutorial und meinen Char hat das gemäß Kit-Auskunft auch wunderbar funktioniert. Ich konnte testweise Waffen auf Meisterhaft steigern. Als ich dann in auf BG I gewechselt hab und mir den Charakter erstellen wollte, funktionierte das nicht mehr. Divine champion ausgewählt, ließ sich aber nur wie ein normaler Paladin mit entsprechenden Fähigkeiten spielen.

Vielleicht könnte jemand von Euch kurz hier reinschauen und kurz überfliegen, ob ihr da das Problem seht. Ode rmir einen Tip gebt, an was es noch liegen könnte.

Hm, da stellen sich ein paar Fragen:
a) Sicher, dass sich der Held nicht wie der Divince Champion spielen ließ oder war nur die Beschreibung die Standard-Paladin-Beschreibung (letzteres kann vorkommen, wenn man in der Installation manchmal zurück muss).
b) Wo hast du nochmal ansetzen müssen in der Installation? Nur beim normalen BG II oder ist da schon die EET gelaufen gewesen?

Ansonsten bin ich erstmal etwas ratlos...

Hallo @Myranon , Willkommen in den heiligen Hallen des Wahn - äh der Weisheit! Zum Prokrastinieren Ablenken von der Dissertation hast Du hier genau das richtige gefunden, ich spreche aus Erfahrung! :) Auch mal ganz eigennützig ein Danke, dass Du so viele Mods von mir installiert hast. Wenn Probleme inhaltlicher Art auftreten, weißt Du ja, wo Du fragen kannst.

Zum Problem kann ich leider nichts sagen... aus welcher Mod ist das erwähnte Kit? Es gab irgendwelche Probleme mit Kits in der EET wenn die mod das nicht berücksichtigt. Was genau das war müsste ich aber erstmal wieder suchen.
EDIT: die Diskussion dazu startet hier. Ich verstehe nur die Hälfte insgesamt, leider.

Das Log sieht eigentlich gut aus. Was meinst du mit Tutorial? Den Anfang von BG2, oder tatsächlich das Tutorial? Wenn das Kit in BG2 in der EET funktioniert und in Teil 1 nicht, bin ich überfragt. Vielleicht solltest du einfach einen anderen Charakter mit einem Kit erstellen und testen, ob der in Teil 1 und 2 funktioniert, wie er soll. Im Beamdogforum meldete jemand, dass die Kitbeschreibung nicht im Spiel erscheint. Das Artesian Kitpack hatte immer einige Fehler. Es ist auch die Frage, wann es zuletzt ein Update bekommen hat. Da die 2.6 einige Änderungen mit sich gebracht hat.

Divinve Champion ist das Artisan Kitpack. Wenn der Textfehler mit der fehlenden Beschreibung kommt, ist das in der Regel ein Installationsproblem der EET_end und betrifft alle Kits. Wenn aber die Funktionalitäten der Kits nicht funktionieren, ist das schwieriger.

Was mir aber da gerade noch einfällt: wir hatten mal das Problem, dass in der KIT.IDS Zeilen verschoben waren. Das ist aber schon vor nem halben Jahr glaube ich gefixed worden. Aber eine kaputte KIT.IDS könnte solche Probleme machen...

@Myranon: du könntest ja mal den Inhalt der KIT.IDS aus dem override-Ordner (wichtig, nur von da) hier posten. Das ist afaik eine Ascii-Datei, die jeder Texteditor lesen können sollte.

Ich hab eben gerade gefunden, was möglicherweise das Problem war. Stufe 1 scheint den PC noch als Paladin zu behandeln. Nachdem ich mir mit dem EE Keeper kurz Stufe 9 gegönnt haben konnte ich die Punkte entsprechend des Kits verteilen. Einen kleinen Fehler gibt es immer noch insofern, dass der Champion Lay on Hands nicht nutzen können sollte, aber das gibts immer noch. Da beschwer ich mich jetzt aber nicht und nutze es einfach nichts.

Ach so: ne das ist korrekt so: auf Stufe 1 kann man immer nur 2 Punkte pro Fertigkeit verteilen, auch wenn man 4 zur Auswahl hat. Erst auf Stufe 9 kann man als Kämpferartiger dann 5 Punkte haben.

Dann war das meine Regelunkenntnis gepaart damit, dass ich einmal einen Stufe 1 Charakter hatte, der andere war Stufe 7. Ich spiel sonst eigentlich nur DSA *hust*.

Ja, klar, ich wollte keinesfalls eventuelles Prokrastinieren bestärken, nur ein bisschen frotzeln. Und Zusammenschreiben fand ich klasse, da war wenigstens ein Ende abzusehen. Ich bin aber auch so ein "ich schreibe gerne ausführliche Dokumentationen"-Typus.

Mein Logikdetektor beschwert sich bei der Aussage, aber ich glaube ich weiß, was Du meinst.

Wie gesagt, ich finde die Prioritätensetzung voll in Ordnung. :) Und außerdem promoviert es sich entspannt auch besser!

Logikdetektor arbeitet korrekt.

Ich prokrastiniere total. :) Allerdings dankenswerterweise in der Hinsicht, dass ich das Ding kürzen muss!

Vielleicht könnt ihr mir aber doch nochmal kurz helfen, das bekomme ich gerade nicht mehr zusammen.

Ich habe eine Mod im Kopf, die es per Buch im Inventar ermöglicht, die Klassen Ingame anzupassen. Fällt Euch da zufällig ein, welche das wäre?

Ich komm nicht mher drauf.

Hm, mir würden da nur Kit Tomes einfallen, wo ich aber nicht weiß, ob die Mod an die 2.6 angepasst wurde. Da kann man Vanilla-Klassen zu Kits umwandeln.

Das war nicht das, was mir im Kopf rum schwebte, ist aber nicht so schlimm.

Eine kleine Sache noch kurz.

Ich hab dummerweise vergessen, Imoens Portrait zu ändern. Gibt es da eine unkomplizierte Methode, das zu ändern? Oder würde das bedeuten, nochmal wieder von vorn die EET anzulegen?

Ich spiele zur Zeit die Nicht-EET-Version mit Mods, daher bin ich nicht sicher, ob diese Methode 1:1 auf die EE übertragbar ist: Eine recht einfache Möglichkeit besteht darin, das gewünschte neue Portrait des Charakters im Override-Ordner zu hinterlegen. Dazu müsstest du herausfinden, wie die Portraits des Charakters, dessen Portrait du tauschen möchtest, benannt sind. In meinem Spiel heißen sie z.B. NIMOENL.bmp, NIMOENM.bmp und NIMOENS.bmp bzw. einfach IMOENL.bmp etc. Es kann aber sein, dass sie bei dir anders heißen.

Ggf. kannst du die Charakterbilder auch über den EEKeeper anpassen (oder zumindest einsehen, wie sie heißen). Im Shadowkeeper für die Nicht-EE-Version funktioniert das über die Schaltfläche "Change Portrait". Der Shadow Keeper lädt sämtliche Portraits meines Wissens aus dem Portraits- oder Override-Ordner. Möglicherweise ist es beim EEKeper ähnlich.

Falls Imoens Charakterbild in der Erweiterung oder dem zweiten Teil anders als erwartet aussieht, kann es sein, dass du für diese Teile Portraits mit bestimmten Präfixen in den Override-Folder kopieren musst. Ich lege meine Hand nicht ins Feuer, aber ich meine, das Präfix für SOD lautet BD (BDIMOENL.bmp, BDIMOENM.bmp., ...) und für BG2 N (NIMOENL.bmp, NIMOENM.bmp., ...)

Die Mod mit den Büchern zum Ändern der NPC ist NPC_EE. Aber da gehen nur die Werte, nicht die Bilder ;)

Ich bin mir aber fast sicher, dass das In-Game bei mir nicht ganz wie beabsichtigt funktioniert....
