Yes, it's fully in English.
Niemain starts with usual dialogue but I do have Xzar and Monty in the party.
"Oh look, what a cute little party... invading our space! We were preparing a ritual, and you all but ruined it."
What could have gone wrong?
I see those trigger in the dialogue. Are there any requirements to start working for Niemain?
The other dialogue options from JAP are preserved so the DLG file was edited during installation correctly.
@Cygarniczka Before I start looking through the mod's files on question: Did you install JAP after the BG1NPC Project? (Best look into your weidu.log or post it here.)
Yes. I installed JAP after BG1NPC Project. Turns out the issue was with Xzar dead state not rested by some BG1 temple resurrection spell.
Thanks to CamDawg_G3 he provided the console code for reseting the dead state the given NPC which is:
After typing the console code for Xzar and Montaron the dialogue triggered properly.
Wow, I never would have figured. Cool! Thank you for the info.
It wouldn't be possible without brainstorming on G3 discord between WanderingQuill (lynxlynx), CamDawg_G3 and Angel. Angel is having similar problem where state check fails and some dialogues don't trigger.
Workaround for this is as follows:
The dialogue fails because it reads NPCs are confused even when they are in normal state.
Interesting. The CD_STATE_NOTVALID thing is something that is been used and worked for years - why is it failing now?
Dunno maybe some change in ToBEx or EE or Fixpack? The best way to solve it is through brainstorming. It helps by discussing clues and someone may be able to glue together all the clues and find a solution. On the G3 discord there are other modders who will also take part in the brainstorm and it helps to investigate a lot.
Thank you very much for the heads up and information. I'll definitely ask about this, albeit not on Discord but G3 forums.
I have found a slight conflict between BGEE converted to BGT mod Tenya Thermidor and Jarls BGT Adventure Pack (JAP). You have two Tenyas if you recruited Tenya as joinable NPC.
The original Baldur's Gate behavior makes Tenya appears after you give book of wisdom to the high priestess Jalantha in exchange for Lothander's gease cure.
It's not fault of JAP because Tenya Thermidor NPC mod states that option to have Tenya give you boy's body is removed completely. Thermidor mod removes Tenya spawning in the temple after you give book of wisdom. I installed JAP after Tenya Thermidor NPC mod.
Thank you, noted.
Thank you I think this can be fixed by importing or manually creating dialogue from JAP's Tenya2.DLG to Tenya.DLG so that Tenya JAP quest starts when you have her in the party. Unfortunately I don't know how to do it with weidu.
That's a good idea. I will come back to JAP eventually but it's really not high on my priority list.
If you happen to come back to JAP there is a nifty tool that let's you manually recreate dialogue easily. Infinity Dialog Workshop.
Warning for small screen users I have really big ass resolution.
Thanks, but I'm happy with weidu syntax and like to read it (and don't feel like working myself into another tool).
