[Bug] Crash beim Betreten von Ulgoth's Beard

Hallo zusammen,

Ich hoffe, das ist jetzt im richtigen Forum: Falls nicht, bitte ich um Verzeihung.

Ich kriege reproduzierbar folgenden crash: Nachdem ich in Durlag's Tower war und den Demon Knight besiegt habe und zurück nach Ulgoth's Beard will, bekomme ich einen CTD. Dasd Spiel beginnt, Ulgoths Beard zu laden und schmiert ab.

Ich habe ne ganze Menge mods installiert - es ist ein Megamod.

Die Log-Datei gibt mir folgendes Ergebnis:

Das gibt mir auch keinen Anhaltspunkt für den Fehler....

Ist irgendjemandem der Fehler bekannt? Ich weiß nämlich auch nicht mehr weiter im Moment....

Ich kann dir zwar nicht helfen, aber die anderen können dir sicher besser helfen, wenn du deine Weidu.log postest.

Steht in der Baldur.err vielleicht auch was drin?

Den Fehler kenn ich nicht, würde aber auf die Kultisten tippen, die dann zum ersten Mal spawnen.

Kannst ja mal versuchen dir einen von denen außerhalb von Ulgoth's herbei zu cheaten.

Hallo :)

ich kann da auch nur eine Vermutung äußern, woran es liegen könnte. Die ersten 7 Creatures aus dem kleinen Log, das Du gepostet hast, werden impassable created (6 auf dem Wasser in der oberen linken Ecke, einer in der unteren linken Ecke auf Kisten).


Wenn das nicht beabsichtigt ist durch das entsprechende Mod und der normale Script-Befehl verwendet wurde, crasht das Spiel leicht mal. (es gibt dafür einen extra-Script-Befehl, Creatures so zu spawnen, denn die können sich dann nicht bewegen)


Welches Mod die überhaupt spawnen will - keine Ahnung :rolleyes:. Das hier soll auch nur ein Hinweis sein, weshalb das Spiel gleich Windows zeigt ;)


Dummerweise kann man Creatures sowohl über Area-Script, als auch über Dialoge spawnen. Dialoge sind oft leider... (man sucht sich tot nach dem Fehler)... die beliebtere Art, aber ich vermute mal, irgendein Mod hat bei Dir die ARU000.BCS dahingehend geändert, das die Area diese Creatures spawnen soll.

Update: Kultisten spawnen ist kein problem - vielleicht, wenn ich an der "Cult3Spawn" Variable irgendwie herumpfusche, läßt sich das beheben. Kann ich das mit NI? Und wenn ja, wie?

Ich erinnere mich von einer ähnliche Crash-Meldung gelesen zu haben, in dem Fall damals sollte NTotSC das Problem gewesen sein. Habe allerdings nichts von einer Lösung gelesen.

Da der Crash bereits beim Laden auftritt würde ich die Ursache auch nicht in einer .dlg suchen, sondern in der area.bcs.
Ich glaube im Original Spiel werden nur der Begrüsser (CULT3.CRE) und der Wächter (CULT1.CRE) über die area.bcs gestellt, alle anderen Kämfper spawnen über die beiden .dlg Dateien.
Vielleicht mal in der area.bcs die fragwürdigen Spawns auskommentieren und schauen wie der Ort dann läd.
Wenn es nur Kanonenfutter ist, was dann fehlt ist nicht viel verloren, im Fall von Questgebern müsste man noch einmal nachdenken.
Eine change-log auf die ARU000.BCS könnte da Erkenntnisse liefern

Wenn dir die Quest nicht so wichtig ist (und du aus anderen Gründen noch nach UB musst), könntest du auch einfach den Dolch weg werfen - damit könntest du auch klären ob es denn wirklich an den Kultisten liegt.

Oder setzte die Variablen Cult1Spawn und Cult3Spawn auf 1 - vielleicht geht er dann davon aus, dass der Kampf bereits stattgefunden hat. Dann verpasst du zwar den Empfang, kannst aber zumindest den Dämon noch plätten.

Die kommt daher, dass der Mod-Ordner (bzw. die Installationsanleitung der Mod) fehlt. Und das ist vermutlich so, weil du diese Bereinigungsbat benutzt hast. Und das wiederum ist jetzt sch***e, weil du nun keine Zurückverfolgung anstellen kannst und wir niemals mehr rausfinden, wer da an den Dateien rumgedoktort hat.

Das ist ja ärgerlich...

Dann bleibt mir außer einer Neuinstallation wohl nur die Option, irgendwie rauszufinden, ob die Log-Datei irgendwas brauchbares zu liefern hat, was ich manipulieren könnte, also das:

Ich wollte nur noch mal anmerken, was man sich bei so Crashes vllt. als Leitfaden merken kann.

Ich weiß nicht, ...

... ob ich Irgendwas geändert hab, aber ich hab noch ein bissel herrumprobiert mit Variablen und Dolch mitnehmen oder nicht, jedenfalls lädt er jetzt fast zu einem Drittel, also scheint jetzt der Grund für den Crash nicht mehr irgendeine Creature zu sein, sondern die .ARE - hier ist die Changelog allerdings ähnlich hilfreich:

Demnach wäre als nächste einzige Option, aus dem Backup-Ordner von der Horizon-mod die .are diejenige aus dem override-Ordner zu ersetzen und zu schauen, ob dann der Fehler behoben wird. Copy/Paste-Absicherung nicht vergessen.

DC ... ist das die dungeon-crawl-mod? Hast du die ebenfalls installiert? Falls ja, war sie vllt. unvollständig. Nachinstallieren wird du sie ja aber nicht können, ohne damit deine Gesamtinstallation zu schrotten.

Ja, stimmt, ist Dungeon Crawl.
Ist ja wirklich ärgerlich, ne Neuinstallation will ich auch nicht unbedingt machen - das letzte Save vor dem Demon knight ist leider ein ganzes Stück zurück (selber schuld!) - ich werd mal gucken, ob ich alle Variablen in der save-datei auf vor dem Demonknight zurücksetzen kann, den dolch nicht mitnehme und ulgoths Beard dann betreten kann - dann laß ich die dolchquest eben unerledigt...
